About the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows
Access Guide

The mission of Citizens for Accessible Neighbourhood’s Access Guide is to create a one stop guide to accessibility in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. We at CAN are aware of how frustrating it is to get to a store, restaurant, or business and find out it isn’t accessible. This guide will assist residents in knowing what businesses are accessible, and how they are accessible.

This guide also helps to educate business owners about accessibility. As we review the various businesses we are letting the managers and owners know about what accessibility is, how they are accesible, and where they can improve. Many businesses are not accessible in large part to the fact that staff are unaware of what accessibility is and our reviews help to educate them.

How You Can Help

CAN’s aim is to create accurate listings but while CAN volunteers work their best to accurately review businesses we understand that changes occur and we would appreciate your assistance in letting us know of any improvements or changes that have made the businesses less accessible. If a correction or addition is needed for the Access Guide please contact us at CAN by phone: (604) 437-7331 or e-mail: info@canbc.org.

This Access Guide is an ongoing project.  We will be adding reviews throughout the year. We would love to hear your feedback regarding our reviews and our guide’s format. All suggestions and comments are appreciated. Please contact us at (604) 437-7331 or info@canbc.org.
